My new friend Ivan is a computer science major in his Junior year with a goal to work in Information Technology in the future. While Ivan does not often read, he enjoys playing his Monster Hunter World on his PS4 in his free time. Ivan lives in Fresh Meadows and enjoys spending time with his cousins when he is free.
During class today, I was able to get to know Aleyah! She is currently a junior at QC studying poly-science and psychology, with a long term goal of becoming a lawyer. She commutes to QC from her house in Queens Village. But, she is not originally from the United States. When she was nine years old, her parents decided to move here from Guyana in hopes for a better life. She also has one younger brother, who is 21 years old. Her birthday is October 23rd, which makes her a Scorpio. We shared a similar love for food, although her favorite would be pasta or anything cheesy. Her favorite restaurants are Applebee’s and Red Lobster. Although she doesn’t have much free time between school and work, she does enjoy reading, watching movies or TV and listening to music. Both her favorite book and movie genres are mystery, thriller and action. Her favorite TV shows are Grey’s Anatomy or any other doctor show. She enjoys listening to reggae, hip hop and soca music. Her favorite colors are purple and light green. She is very scared of bugs and heights. She also believes that her strongest personal quality is her ability to care and help others. She has an overall optimistic view on the world and wants to make it a better place. Overall, Aleyah is so great and I’m looking forward to getting to know her better this semester!
Farah is a Junior and majoring in computer science. She loves to play sports such as PingPong, badminton, basketball. She also loves to eat. She got Airframe and Powerplant license last year. Her goal for this year is to get an internship with tech-company to further her experience in computer science field. After graduating with computer science degree, she plans on getting a job with well-known companies and be successful in life. She has big dreams and some of them are being known for her achievements. She loves her family and wants to make them proud.
Jules is from Long island. Her major is Early Education and co-major in Mathematics. She has two brothers. Her favorite color is blue. She loves to hangout with friends and play sports like lacrosse and also likes to workout at the gym.
Ziyi is a twenty-five year old business administration student at queens college. She is from Flushing Queens. Her free time consists of shopping, swimming and studying ! She loves to eat any type of noodle and her favorite color is red.

I’d like to introduce the class to Erica Simon. She’s a junior majoring in Accounting and minoring in BALA. She’s from Long Island in Nassau County. Erica works for the NYC Department of 
Transportation. Her favorite color is orange and her favorite food is salmon. She has read some plays by Shakespeare in high school. By the end of this class, Erica wants to learn more about English literature and improve her writing.
